List of licensed manufacturers in Australia

This page explains how to search for Australian manufacturers licensed to manufacture medicines, blood and biologicals, and where to find details of licensing decisions made by us in relation to Australian manufacturers.

We provide instructions on how to use the TGA eBusiness Services database to check current Australian manufacturing licence details for therapeutic goods.

We also publish information about decisions we make on Australian manufacturing licences for therapeutic goods, including decisions to grant, suspend or revoke a licence. Older notices are available through the Federal Register of Legislation.

Find a licensed Australian manufacturer in the TGA eBusiness Services (TBS) database

You can search for Australian manufacturers that hold a current licence to manufacture therapeutic goods using the TGA eBusiness Services databases. The list of manufacturers can be found under Public TGA Information in the left-hand navigation menu.

Manufacturers are approved for specific steps of manufacture, and this information is available by selecting the 'Australian Approved Manufacturer' (see image below).

Search the TGA Business Services database

  1. Go to TGA eBusiness Services (TBS).
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Public TGA Information.
  3. Select Australian Approved Manufacturer.
  4. Search by manufacturer name or refine using dropdown menus and the free-text field.

Tip: Using the dropdown menus together with the free-text field helps narrow your search and return more relevant results.

Example: finding compounding manufacturers

  1. Select All Manufacturers from the Manufacturer dropdown menu.
  2. Select Manufacturer Product Code from the Filter on dropdown menu.
  3. In the for field, enter compounded.

The search results will display manufacturers approved for compounding activities.

Lists of decisions for Australian manufacturing licences

The TGA publishes decisions relating to licences for the manufacture of therapeutic goods. Before October 2025, these decisions were published in the Government Gazette. They are now published on the TGA website.

Search for a specific licence decision

To search for a published decision relating to a specific manufacturing licence:

  1. Go to the Federal Register of Legislation home page.
  2. Set 'Search in' to 'Name and text'.
  3. Set 'Search using' to 'Contains phrase'.
  4. In the 'Search for' field, enter:
    • the manufacturer’s name
    • site address, or
    • licence number.

Naming conventions used in Gazette notices

Published decisions use the following naming conventions:

  • Publication of List of Manufacturers Granted Licence for the Manufacture of Therapeutic Goods - DD Month YYYY
  • Publication of List of Manufacturers Suspended from Licensing for the Manufacture of Therapeutic Goods - DD Month YYYY
  • Publication of List of Manufacturers Revoked Licence for the Manufacture of Therapeutic Goods - DD Month YYYY
