International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF)

About IMDRF

The TGA was a founding member of the IMDRF, which is a voluntary group of medical device regulators from around the world. 

It was established in 2011 and builds on the strong foundational work of the Global Harmonization Task Force (GHTF) on Medical Devices.

Mission

The mission of the IMDRF is to strategically accelerate international medical device regulatory harmonisation and convergence to promote an efficient and effective medical devices sector.

Membership

The IMDRF Management Committee includes representatives from the medical device regulatory authorities of Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, Japan, the Russian Federation, Singapore, South Korea and the United States.

IMDRF also has official observers.
