The Annual Charges Exemption (ACE) scheme came into operation on 1 July 2015.
It provides an exemption from annual charges until a product first generates turnover.
Once a product has turnover then the annual charge is payable for the relevant entry in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) for that financial year and each subsequent financial year (that the good remains on the ARTG).
