Edgewell Personal Care Australia Pty Ltd is recalling all unexpired batches (nine in total) of -
- Banana Boat Baby Zinc Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+
and - Hawaiian Tropic Mineral Zinc Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+
due to the potential for the lotions to become separated.
This is unrelated to the recalls of other sunscreen products following the TGA’s ongoing investigation into Sun Protection Factor (SPF) testing.

What is the problem?
The product may appear to have an uneven texture and visible water separating out of the product. If this happens, the ingredients are no longer properly mixed.
What are the risks?
If the product is separated, it will be more difficult to spread evenly on skin, and could reduce the overall performance of the product. This could affect the SPF of the sunscreen and may cause inadequate sun protection.
What should I do?
If you have purchased one of the above batches of the product, do not use it. Visit the Banana Boat or Hawaiian Tropic website to request a refund and then discard the product
