Gem Care Products Pty Ltd is recalling all unexpired batches (two in total) of -
- Solar Screen Mineral Zinc Hydrating Face Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ 50ml
and - Solar Screen Mineral Zinc Hydrating Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ 120ml
due to the potential for the lotions to become separated.
This is unrelated to the recalls of other sunscreen products following the TGA’s ongoing investigation into Sun Protection Factor (SPF) testing.

What is the problem?
The product may appear to have an uneven texture and visible water separating out of the product. If this happens, the ingredients are no longer properly mixed.
What are the risks?
If the product is separated, it will be more difficult to spread evenly on skin, and could reduce the overall performance of the product. This could affect the SPF of the sunscreen and may cause inadequate sun protection.
What should I do?
