Vitality Brands Worldwide Pty Ltd is recalling three batches of Cancer Council Sunscreen Clear Zinc Kids SPF50+ 110g due to the potential for the product to become separated.
This is unrelated to the recalls of other sunscreen products following the TGA’s ongoing investigation into Sun Protection Factor (SPF) testing.
What is the problem?
The product may appear to have an uneven texture and visible water separating out of the product. If this happens, the ingredients are no longer properly mixed.
| Product Name | ARTG | Affected batch numbers | Expiry Dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cancer Council Sunscreen Clear Zinc Kids SPF50+ 110g | AUST L 430534 | 1143730 | August 2027 |
| 1141313 | June 2027 | ||
| 1146857 | November 2026 |
What are the risks?
If the product is separated, it will be more difficult to spread evenly on skin, and could reduce the overall performance of the product. This could affect the SPF of the sunscreen and may cause inadequate sun protection.
What should I do?
If you have purchased one of the above batches of the product, do not use it. Return the product to the place of purchase, or contact info@vitalitybrands.com or call 1300 364 515 to arrange the return of product for a replacement or refund.
