Scheduling amendments referred to expert advisory committees
In accordance with regulation 42ZCZK of the Therapeutic Goods Regulations 1990, the Secretary invited public submissions on scheduling proposals to schedule homosalate, oxybenzone and benzophenone that were referred to the September 2025 joint meeting of the Advisory Committee on Medicines (ACMS) and Advisory Committee on Chemicals Scheduling (ACCS).
The proposals and public submissions were discussed at joint ACMS-ACCS meeting on 17 September 2025 and referred them to the joint ACMS-ACCS meeting held on 13 November 2025 for further discussion.
The interim decisions and invitation for further comment on the scheduling of homosalate, oxybenzone and benzophenone will be published at a later date and separate to the other proposals referred to the expert advisory committees for the November 2025 meetings.
Public submissions on the proposals on homosalate, oxybenzone and benzophenone will be published along with the interim decisions on their scheduling.
