The TGA has launched a web hub to help consumers and health professionals find information on transvaginal (urogynaecological) surgical mesh.
Transvaginal mesh is used to treat pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence. Some women have experienced serious complications from transvaginal mesh implants, and this has had a major impact on their lives.
The web hub links to information on consumer support services, adverse event reporting, regulatory changes, the Senate Inquiry into transvaginal mesh, and other topics.
For more information, please contact the TGA at info@tga.gov.au or 1800 020 563.
