HeartStart Automated External Defibrillators (AED) - Update

Product defect correction - gel separation from the foam/tin backing when peeled from the yellow plastic liner

On 10 January 2023, Philips expanded their Product Defection Correction for the HeartStart AEDs. Due to customer feedback and complaints, Philips is notifying additional customers who may have received affected HeartStart AED machines who were not aware of the initial notification.

Philips has advised that corrected pads will be shipped in early 2023 to customers affected by the problem.

Philips has received 151 complaints since 2010, of which 36 were received in 2022.
