What should I do?
If you have a bottle of Detox + Debloat, check its batch number on the label.
If your bottle is from the affected batches, you should immediately stop using it if
- you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- you may become pregnant while using the product.
Detox + Debloat is not recommended for use by children under 12 years of age.
Return it to the place of purchase for a refund or contact JSHealth Vitamins customer service on +61-(0)405-802-877, 9:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
No other batches of Detox + Debloat are being recalled at this time.
What is the problem?
Detox + Debloat includes an extract of Foeniculum vulgare (fennel) seeds. There is a chemical component in fennel seeds that may not be safe for pregnant or breast-feeding women and is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
Listed medicines that contain fennel seed extract are required to include the following warning statements on the medicine label:
- ‘Use in children under 12 years is not recommended’
- ‘Do not use if pregnant or likely to become pregnant’ (or words to that effect)
- ‘Do not use while breastfeeding.’
A recent TGA investigation found these warnings are not included on the labels of some batches of Detox + Debloat.
