Recall letters will be dispatched by the sponsor to hospitals and physiotherapists from Wednesday 17 September 2008. Recall notices advising consumers of this recall will appear in the media as soon as the sponsor of the Hot/Cold Packs is able to obtain advertising space in national newspapers.

Classification system:

Class I defects are potentially life-threatening or could cause a serious risk to health.

Class II defects could cause illness or mistreatment, but are not Class I.

Class III defects may not pose a significant hazard to health, but withdrawal may be initiated for other reasons.
