About the report
Each year the TGA publishes a Performance Report to provide transparency about how we regulate therapeutic goods in Australia and the activities we undertake to support our regulatory objectives.
The TGA Performance Report 2024-25 is prepared in accordance with the Commonwealth Performance Framework set out in Resource Management Guide No. 128 (RMG 128). It reports on activities under the strategic objectives and focus areas outlined in the TGA Business Plan 2024-25. These operate alongside, but are distinct from, the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing’s Corporate Plans and Annual Reports.
Our strategic objectives
During 2024-25, the TGA’s regulatory activities were guided by 4 strategic objectives:
- Improve public health outcomes through best practice regulation
- Build trust by actively engaging with our stakeholders
- Promote and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, and
- Innovate and continuously improve.
This report outlines notable activities and achievements across 31 focus areas, aligned to the strategic objectives.
Scope of the report
Due to the breadth and volume of work undertaken by the TGA, it is not possible to include all activities and achievements from the 2024-25 financial year in this report.
We provide regular updates on our work throughout the year through a range of channels, including:
- the TGA website
- email newsletters
- social media
- events and webinars, and
- stakeholder forums and consultations.
