SUNHARBO (asundexian) is proposed to help prevent ischaemic stroke in adults, which occurs when a blood vessel carrying blood to the brain becomes blocked. It is proposed for use after a non-cardioembolic ischaemic stroke, where the blockage did not come from a blood clot that travelled from the heart. It is also proposed for use after a transient ischaemic attack, where blood flow to part of the brain is briefly blocked, causing stroke-like symptoms that usually resolve quickly.
