Anko Small and Large Gel Paks

Kmart Australia Ltd is recalling their Anko Small Gel Pak and Anko Large Gel Pak because they contain ethylene glycol, a toxic substance.

Small Gel Paks sold between 18 March 2014 – 10 December 2025
Large Gel Paks sold between 11 February 2014 – 10 December 2025

What is the problem?

The products have been found to contain ethylene glycol, which is highly toxic.

If the packaging becomes damaged, ethylene glycol could leak out. If swallowed, ethylene glycol can cause irreversible injuries or death.

What should I do?

• If you have one of the above products, stop using it immediately and keep out of reach of children.
• Return the product to a Kmart store for a full refund.

If you suspect someone has swallowed the contents of a gel pack, call the Poisons Information Centre for advice on 13 11 26.
