In response to user feedback, we have been trialling a beta version of the DAEN – medicines since June 2022 alongside the older database.
The new version of the database allows users to interact with search results through dynamic tables, filters and graphs. Search results can also be extracted and saved in .csv and .xlsx formats.
This testing period is now complete. Based on positive feedback from the User experience survey we have switched over to the new beta version of the database which is now the only version. We have also updated our user guidance which includes tips on how to search the new database and answers to commonly asked questions.
It is important to remember that inclusion of a report in our database does not mean that the adverse event has been confirmed or that it is causally related to a medicine, vaccine or biological. The database does not contain all known safety information. An assessment of the safety of a medicine or vaccine cannot be made using the DAEN - medicines search results alone.
