Declared goods orders

Instruments are amended from time to time and may, on occasions, be replaced or new instruments made.

Occasionally it is unclear whether particular goods are therapeutic. In these circumstances, it is necessary to define legally that particular goods are therapeutic goods, and therefore are to be regulated by the TGA under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (the Act).

The definition of therapeutic goods is found in section 3 of the Act.

2009

  Declaration that goods containing 'Trefriw Wells mineral water' when presented in single use sachets for therapeutic use as an iron supplement are therapeutic goods

1999

• REPEALED - Order that Goods are Therapeutic Goods No. 4 of 1999
  Declaration that goods containing, or promoted as containing, isolated HMB (b-hydroxy-b-methylbutyrate) or its salts, when presented in the forms of powders, tablets, capsules or pills are therapeutic goods

  Declaration that products containing shark cartilage, when presented in the form of capsules, pills, tablets or powder, other than as a wholesale product in powdered form for use as an ingredient in food are therapeutic goods
