Approval under section 42DF for use of restricted representations by Blackmores Limited

I, Jane Cook, Head, Pharmacovigilance and Special Product Access Branch, Therapeutic Goods Administration and delegate of the Secretary to the Department of Health, on receipt of an application from Blackmores Limited, have approved under section 42DF of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (the Act) the restricted representations described in paragraph (a) below for use in advertisements directed to consumers, for the products identified in paragraph (b):

   1. If you have osteoporosis, your medical practitioner/doctor will advise you whether calcium supplementation is required.
   2. If you have osteoporosis, see your medical practitioner/doctor to determine whether you need calcium supplementation.
2. Triple Action Bone Formula (AUSTL 230038), Cal-D (AUSTL 179321) and Total Calcium Magnesium + D3 (AUSTL 101770).
