New online form for sponsor notice of therapeutic vaping goods

From 1 March 2025, sponsors of vaping goods will be able to use a new online form of the sponsor notice, which will be available through the TGA Business Services (TBS) portal. This form is approved under the Therapeutic Goods (Therapeutic Vaping Goods - Sponsor Notice Form) Approval 2025.

Giving a sponsor notice to the TGA is a requirement before a new vaping good that is intended for smoking cessation or the management of nicotine dependence, can be imported, manufactured or supplied in Australia. This form must also be used to notify ingredients, components or starting material that will be imported into Australia for the manufacture of vaping goods. Significant penalties may be imposed in relation to the importation or supply of vaping goods where a sponsor notice has not been given to the TGA relating to the goods.
