Report non-compliant advertising

If you see an advertisement that looks like it does not comply with advertising regulations, you can submit a report using our online form.

This includes advertising of vapes, which is comprehensively banned in Australia, except in very limited circumstances, from 1 July 2024. The ban covers all media platforms, including social media, as well as other forms of advertising, promotion and sponsorship, even if it is not connected with the sale of goods.

Before you start, you should be ready to provide in-depth information on what concerns you have about the advertisement, although you do not need to tell us which regulations you think are being breached.

There are sanctions and penalties for advertising that does not comply with the regulations.
