Apply to use a restricted representation in advertising

Restricted representations (whether expressly or by implication) can only be used in advertisements for therapeutic goods directed to consumers if TGA has permitted or approved the use of that representation.

We have published guidance and a checklist to assist advertisers with preparing and submitting an application for approval to use a restricted representation in advertising. We strongly recommend advertisers read this information prior to commencing an application.

Online application form

This portal allows for applications to be submitted online. Each application is assigned a unique identification number which should be used for any queries regarding your application.

The application form is comprised of two (2) parts. Advertisers should ensure they have the necessary information and supporting documents prior to commencing their application as the application form cannot be saved and accessed at a later time.

For all enquiries related to restricted representation applications, please email advertising.assurance@tga.gov.au.

Visit the portal to make an application for approval to use a restricted representation.
