TGA Transparency Review Panel, Meeting 2, 10 February 2011
The Panel held its second meeting on 10 February 2011.
At this meeting the Panel was briefed by Professor John McMillan, Australian Information Commissioner, on the changes to the Freedom of Information legislation.
The Panel noted that to that date, 27 written submissions had been received and that the closing date was Friday 11 February 2011. The meeting then focused on organisational issues for the public meetings, including the format and the range of questions to be put to attendees. The Panel finalised an outline of the Consultation Process for the Review.
Panel members agreed to actively encourage participation in the public meetings among their networks of contacts and suggested additional contacts for the Secretariat.
The third meeting of the Panel will be held on 23 March 2011.
