In response to the public consultation on the Options for the future regulation of 'low risk' products, the Government has endorsed a range of reform activities following analysis of the consultation responses. These include changes to how tampons and menstrual cups are regulated.
Prior to 1 July 2018, tampons and menstrual cups have been required to be listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) in order to be able to be legally supplied. Following the recent regulatory amendments, these products became exempt goods, and therefore you are no longer required to have an ARTG entry for these products.
