Ingredients search

This Ingredients Table allows you to search for a particular ingredient. It provides the list of approved names for chemical, biological and herbal ingredients that may be used in TGA-regulated therapeutic goods. 

There are two types of ingredients:

• An active ingredient is an ingredient in a medicine that is responsible for its therapeutic action. 
• An excipient ingredient is any ingredient in a medicine, other than an active ingredient.

To access the search function, click the button below to go to TGA Business Services, expand the ‘Public TGA Information’ menu and choose ‘Ingredients’.
