This Ingredients Table allows you to search for a particular ingredient. It provides the list of approved names for chemical, biological and herbal ingredients that may be used in TGA-regulated therapeutic goods.
There are two types of ingredients:
An active ingredient is an ingredient in a medicine that is responsible for its therapeutic action.
An excipient ingredient is any ingredient in a medicine, other than an active ingredient.
The Department of Health and Aged Care acknowledges First Nations peoples as the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia, and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to all Elders both past and present.
