8 December 2021

Opening date: 7 December 2021

Closing date: 7 February 2022

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is seeking feedback on a proposal to improve patient access to critical medicines in acute-care settings.

Timely access to critical medicines is essential for medical professionals and their patients, particularly in acute-care settings.

We are seeking your feedback on proposed regulatory reforms to support hospital pharmacists to extemporaneously compound certain medicines in advance of a patient being identified, so they can be available for immediate use in an emergency.

For more information and to have your say, please view the consultation paper and complete the online survey on the TGA Consultation Hub.

The public consultation opened on 7 December 2021 and closes on 7 February 2022.
