Public recommendation summary
- that the following entry be included in Part 5 of Schedule 4 of the TGA Regulations:
- "Enzyme Hydrolysed Rice (Oryza sativa) [as the appropriate AAN], other than in oral rehydration salts products".
- that high amylose maize starch is suitable for use in therapeutic goods including in listable goods.
- That the sponsor of Zinax be asked to demonstrate the safety of the product in relation to anti coagulant therapy and to suggest the methodology by which they do that by the next meeting.
Request that, unless the Secretariat is notified by a member in writing that this decision record is inaccurate the Secretariat will commence the appropriate action, including communicating the decision to sponsors.
Note: the sponsors of high amylose starch has been given provisional notice of the decision.
