Scheduling/rescheduling template
National Drugs and Poisons Schedule Committee
6 March 2008
The NDPSC has developed a scheduling/rescheduling template which is designed to facilitate the move to an electronic submission process.
Applicants making scheduling/rescheduling submissions are encouraged to use the attached template. Use of this template will ensure that submissions are in an acceptable format and will help avoid possible delays in the NDPSC's consideration of applications. It is expected that in using this template, applicants have familiarised themselves with the requirements set out in the Guidelines for the National Drugs and Poisons Schedule Committee <http://www.tga.gov.au/ndpsc/ndpscg.htm>.
PLEASE NOTE: The Committee is required to consider criteria as set out under Section 52(E) of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 which stipulates the matters which the Committee must take into account for a scheduling/rescheduling consideration. The Committee's ability to reach a decision regarding your application will therefore be greatly assisted by your response to each of the criteria, as set out in the Template. Applicants are therefore requested to particularly note that the section of the Template dealing with these required criteria indicates:
Do not delete or leave any of these criteria blank - if the criteria is not relevant to your application include a statement to this effect, along with a justification. If there is no data available please indicate this with words to the effect of "no information" along with any justification as to why this will not hinder the scheduling consideration.
Questions and comments regarding the template are to be directed to the NDPSC Secretariat <http://www.tga.gov.au/ndpsc/index.htm#contactdetails>.
