New guidelines now available

The Australian Guidelines for the Registration of Drugs: Volume 2, Non-Prescription Drugs registered via the Compliance Branch (AGRD2) are now available for purchase from the TGA Information Officer.

The guidelines have been adopted following extensive consultation with industry bodies and include information on all aspects of the registration process for Non-Prescription drugs.

Correction

Please note the following error in copies of the AGRD2 First edition:

Chapter 14 Policy Guidelines - Paracetamol page 65. Paediatric dosage recommendations for children 7 to 12 years: 250mg (NOT 150mg) - 500mg taken every 4 to 6 hours as required, not exceeding 2g per day.
