TGA laboratory information bulletin
The Laboratory Information Bulletin (LIB) reports significant work undertaken by the laboratories of the TGA. It is a source of information relevant to the work of the laboratories in monitoring the quality, safety and efficacy of therapeutic goods.
The LIB allows rapid dissemination of scientific and technical information. Inclusion of material in the LIB does not constitute formal publication or endorsement for regulatory purposes. Reference to any commercial materials, manufacturers, equipment or process does not in any way constitute approval, endorsement or recommendation by the TGA.
The LIB is not restricted to the publication of completed work. Notification of new projects and progress reports are equally relevant. Articles suitable for publication include:
- New or improved methods of testing
- Problems encountered in the application of prescribed tests
- New Project proposals
- Project reports which document significant findings
- Papers presented at scientific and technical conferences (where proceedings are not published)
- Notification of standards and guidelines issued by the TGA and other relevant sections of the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing
- Notification of scientific and technical training programs organised by the TGA
- Other relevant technical information
The LIB is distributed throughout the TGA and to relevant Commonwealth and State government agencies. It is also available to interested people in industry, health and scientific organisations.
Please note: December 1999 is the most recent issue of the Laboratory Information Bulletin.
