Mr Philip Daffy graduated with honours in science from the University of Sydney in 1972, majoring in zoology and botany. After working in product development within the cosmetic industry, he moved into the natural products industry with a major company. Here he had responsibility for the quality, regulatory, product development and research functions. More recently he concentrated on research and development, working on the company's clinical research program with a number of collaborators.

Mr Daffy has been active within the industry's trade organisation, and was part of the industry negotiating team during the introduction of the Therapeutic Goods Act and Regulations. He is currently Director of Research Development and Corporate Affairs for Blackmores Limited.
