Medicines Evaluation Committee (MEC)
The Medicines Evaluation Committee (MEC) was formed in 2000 and provided independent scientific and policy advice on OTC medicines to the Minister and the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing through the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
In 2010, MEC was replaced by the Advisory Committee on Non prescription Medicines (ACNM).
