Advertising medical devices to consumers: The MTAA Code of Practice applies to the medical technology industry. In addition to the Code, the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code (TGAC) administered by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), regulates direct to consumer advertising of medical products. This presentation provides information about what is regulated under the TGAC and what are some of the implications of direct to consumer advertising. It also provides some education and inside knowledge about the procedures applying to the TGAC.
