As an internationally-respected regulator, the TGA is involved in many activities with overseas organisations.

Australia New Zealand Therapeutic Products Agency (ANZTPA)
The Australian and New Zealand Governments have agreed to proceed with a joint scheme for regulation of therapeutic goods (ie medicines, medical devices, etc)
International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF)
The International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF) is a forum for discussion of future directions in medical device regulatory harmonisation
International Regulators Consortium
The Consortium was formed in 2007 by ‘like-minded’ regulatory authorities to promote greater regulatory collaboration and alignment of regulatory requirements.
OLSS international affiliations & activities
As an integral part of the regulatory process, TGA’s Office of Laboratories and Scientific Services staff are involved in the development of standards for therapeutic goods, at both national and international levels
